Medal Text:
On YC 121, Feb. 16th, a LUMEN, PIE, I-Red fleet and allies banded together under the banner of Holy Amarr to successfully defend the Elkin Family Astahaus "Inquisition Command" in Sifilar. This was the third straight form-up of the week, having fought Shoot First on the 11th at an armor timer, then formed up to defend another armor timer but was stood up by DHSJ on Valentine's day, and then for one final, last stand, for the Inquisition Command, a two fight successful armor timer defense. The last defense subsequently escalated into a Capital fight that moved from Sifilar to Arzad on the Sifilar Gate where LUMEN and PIE pilots pinned down enemy Capitals allowing allies and recent enemies, DHSJ, to decimate Snuffed Out. Snuffed Out ultimately lost 17 Capitals in the engagement.

Comment from Luna:
It was a tiring week. It started with the successful defense of the armor timer for the Inquisition Command Citadel against Shoot First on Arsia Elkin's birthday. (( sfrim.boards.net/post/4009 ))
We then formed up for the armor timer again against DHSJ on Valentine's Day but they missed the timer and hit it again when the fleet dispersed.
The third time, a major fight occurred as a large DHSJ fleet with 8 basilisks and 30 other pilots, mostly in Gilas, hit the citadel. The first defense around the citadel was inconclusive, the second defense fight was decisive when TEMPLIS CASF and Dirt N Glitter added to the defense fleet numbers and all of DHSJ's logistics were wiped out.
That's when it got.. really interesting.
One observer wrote as follows (with some minor edits by me):
**************
After calsf warped off to a poco to persue a lone enemy, DHSJ re-engaged by warping on top of the combined calsf/dng fleet, dropping a minokawa to replace downed DHSJ basilisks. CALSF responded in kind and also brought in a mino to supplement reps. DHSJ escalated with dreads and more fax, eventually overwhelming the lone CALSF fax. CALSF pulled gilas and basis off as DHSJ prepared to extract capitals.
However, before a successful extraction of DHSJ capitals was achieved, Snuffed out [BBC] lit a cyno on DHSJ capitals (still in siege and triage) and quickly dispatched them.
Vindicated by let another successful seal clubbing fleet engagement, and pampered by the comfort of having a theoretical escalation potential beyond that of all lowsec entities combined, Snuff elected to extract their capitals by simply warping to the Arzad gate, where a reformed DHSJ gila/basi fleet awaited their arrival.
After jumping through to arzad Snuff capitals are tackled by LUMEN/PIE tackle frigates, which continued pouring through the siflar gate like bhaalgorn lossmails on a DnG fleet (thanks again you guys, you're the best). BBC were then forced to commit triage and HAW dreads to beat back subcaps. After tackle was established, calls went out to local entities willing to help deal with the snuff menace. As Snuff has recently reinforced structures belonging to nearly every local entity, reinforcements were not hard to come by. The combined fire from both DHSJ, CALSF and eventually SGGRN (in nightmares), continues to castrate the largely anemic and impotent SNUFF carrier DPS, with only the most incompetent of gilas succumbing to their fire. The fight wears on, with more and more subcaps joining the fight against snuff, who continues to bring in more and more capitals in an attempt to beat back the tide. Eventually pings go out to DHSJ / SGGRN / RC dread pilots (the last of which were out of range). Cynos go up and all hell breaks loose. Snuff also attempt to bring in more capitals in an attempt even the odds, but with so many active pilots already committed to the fight in carriers, and their titan blob reportedly out of range [citation needed], they just aren't able to trade capitals effectively. Coordinated fire among DHSJ / SGGRN dreads [shoutout to xtrasquishy from DHSJ for this phenomenal coordination] make short work of the few SNUFF dreads on field, eventually working through the FAX and largely neutered carriers. Both Tau and Hywantobeinadread self-destruct their ships rather than once again experience what it's like to actually explode to hostile fire, a fate too shameful and unfamiliar for them to comprehend.

Although in hind-sight I wonder why the defense fleet went haring off from the citadel after the defense ended, I won't second guess the judgment of the FC ne PIE Admiral, and three SFRIM directors who were in fleet who decided it was necessary to aid Templis CASF and then get involved and fully commit LUMEN resources to the subsequent capital fights in Sifilar and Arzad that ensued.
In Arzad, DHSJ, our foe in the defense, ended up proving logistics repairs to LUMEN and PIE ships that were pinning down snuffed out capitals!
