Medal Text:
Awarded to Pilots who participated in some contributory fashion to advance the Society's objectives in the "Operation 'Butcher's Bank' Campaign in Eredan and Raa in YC 121.
"In all of God's creation, is there any alliance more wicked, more vile, than LUMEN? Not content to declare normal wars upon me, they have resorted to economic war, taking the POCOs of Raa and denying them to me. O how wicked. O how vile."
- Nauplius, YC 121
Lunarisse's Notes:
Awarded to pilots who participated in some contributory fashion consistent with LUMEN's goals and purposes during the Raa and Eredan campaign to interdict and seize POCOs that were serving heretics with interests imicable to the Empire, in particular, Hoi Androipostai and associates, or at risk of falling into hostile hands.
Excerpt from Internal Notes from Chief of Naval Staff
So I just want to point out to everyone for whom this has not yet sunk in (just in case), but over the last two days, with the help of our allies, we have managed to do what groups our size are normally incapable of doing. We destroyed three POCOs owned by Shadow Cartel and replaced them with our own. This is a major achievement and big milestone for our alliance. It may seem small, snagging three POCOs on the edge of lowsec using tactics and ships that are designed primarily for hit and run, but our victory was made possible by two things: one) our tenacity to get the job done and two) the years of diplomacy and relationship-building that afforded us the opportunity to work with CVA (and of course our perennial allies in PIE and our new allies in DT-HG). This partnership and growth of our capabilities, born out of myriad past conflicts from which we emerged wiser and battle-hardened, speaks to our emerging position as one of the great loyalist alliances. Wielding both diplomacy and a growing penchant for combat effectiveness, today represents a culmination of the hard work of many pilots—our industrialists, our diplomats, our logistics wing, the Board of Directors, and of course, our combat pilots. Together we chart a course into a future where we as loyalists no longer must cower before pirate alliances. It may be a long and treacherous journey, but we as, Khimi Harar, are the light in the darkness, united in our faith of God, Empress, and Empire. Today as in all days to come, let us proclaim: “Amarr Victor.”
