Medal Text:
On YC123.9.3, LUMEN and allies formed up to defend against White Sky and No Forks Given who assaulted the "Farthest Shore" at the Hull Timer. Although LUMEN lost the "Fourth Battle of New Eden", the capsuleers, their crews, as well as the citadel gunners and fighter pilots gave a vigorous account of themselves. After two hours, with only 4 minutes to go on the timer for repair, the Citadel fell.
Awarded to all who participated in funding, prayer, logistics or combat.
"Because no matter what happened, we fought. The repair timer was four minutes and three seconds out of half an hour. We held the line against a superior force for far longer than most in New Eden could, and destroyed more of them, too."

Although i feel bittersweet, I am proud of the Alliance.
Good work to all who came and helped throughout the four timers of this siege.
I think Miss Cora said it best: Amicia Cora > <i>"Though dissuaded, I came. Though perilous, I served. Though beset, I persevered. Though denied, I believed."</i> Amicia recites. "The Farthest Shore may have fallen, but we persevere, Ma'am. We only grow stronger."
Jen Roku Comments:
We (Khimi Harar) have had an Astrahus in New Eden for about six years. There have at times been other citadels there but ours was the first and longest lived. We generally attempted a policy of limited interaction with whoever else lived in the area and restricted access to blues or people who agreed to not hunt the locals. Generally whenever White Sky was on the upswing they would randomly reinforce the citadel once or twice a year and then give up after we formed for armor or after losing a fight.
This last time they had No Forks helping them, which I assume made fighting our timers more viable. We got a terrible roll on the armor timer but formed a pretty nice fleet. They got a really nice warp in on our Harby/Guard fleet and deleted a chunk with their Sac fleet. We decided to go as far in as possible on hull as supplies are limited out there in the ass end of the universe. That last fight was intense. I think it's safe to say there was a little e-bushido involved there as instead of coming in a no fun allowed comp they brought Ruptures and ONIs. Of course they also dropped a Rev as soon as they started trading bad so who knows lol. Regardless it was amazing all around. Brave was great in a little bouncy fleet. At one point we were recovering at a tac trying to decide if the fight was over and we just realized the Rev was in hull and we were like "welp" and went in. Then the fight went for another hour lol.
All in all it was as good an end as you could desire. I dropped that Citadel myself almost as soon as the very first Astra's came off the market. It was older than my son. We celebrated our in character events there. We memorialized our real life dead friends there. It had earned a good death amongst the stars.

Elen Shepard Comments (I-Blu):
After-action report on the LUMEN defense: we lost, but we put up a great fight. Their main fleet were Ruptures and Scythes, with a significant number of Osprey Navy Issues. We had planned to field Retributions and Confessors and Deacons, but when we saw the ONIs, it was time to break out the Harbingers and Guardians. Brave also joined in with Kikimoras, Kirins, and Scalpels. We managed to kill a Revelation early when the owner showed up with the wrong fit. Then it was a grind as our Harbingers went after their ONIs and slowly whittled them down, then killed Caracals as they reshipped to those. Eventually, we killed 44 cruisers.
Sadly, the other side eventually brought too much to this battle of attrition, and we had to concede. But it was a long, glorious fight, with great FC'ing.
