Medal Text:
Tasked on short notice with the extraction from behind enemy lines in the warzone of the Imperial Navy Redeemer, TES Reclamation class, 8 LUMEN pilots joined EDICT and other militia in the attempt. This pendant is awarded as token to remember.
Smoke. Afterwards, that was what stuck with the crews of the logistics wing the most. The acrid spice of spent flames, the biting tang of carbonized polymers. Surely, the miasma was the result of all the ships vanishing in plumes of violent destruction around them. Of course, it wasn’t possible for particulate matter to cross the void. No, what clouded the air and lingered on both mind and body was the smell of their own vessels nearly burning out their own subsystems in a desperate attempt to save the stricken Redeemer class vessel. It had not been enough to save it, in the end; but no few Edict ships had been welded back together through sheer will, and would return their crews home battle-scarred but whole.

GM got caught at last tick at last warp to iesa
GM AAR:
GM Chaos — Yesterday at 12:38 AM
Fantastic show by the Amarr Militia, we had several fleets chasing us. MinMil of course showed up and we won the first fight and started our trek to Iesa. MinMil got into troubles with 3rd parties but soon thereafter the GalMil were hot on our heels but were also slowed down by 3rd parties. The FC did some great work navigating the warzone staying one step ahead of our enemies. Alas, I got tackled at the very last warp to safety and dropped on with caps. Props to the FC, Logi and everyone else for coming out, including our enemies which are probably reading this right now.
Escaping the chase was great fun and I enjoyed it immensely.
Amarr Victor!
EDICT AAR:
AAR.. The Recovery of a Disabled Redeemer pt. II @everyone
A second distress call was received for a disabled Amarr Navy Redeemer (security clearly needs to be improved among Navy crews... perhaps full APIs?). Sacs and Guards were formed and the fleet made best speed to Floseswin, the location of the first disabled Redeemer.
At approximately 0300, the time given that cloaking systems would fail, the relief fleet began scouring the surrounding constellation for any signs of our disabled brother in arms. About ten minutes later a message was received and the Redeemer pilot was able to join fleet and share their location as Resbroko, even deeper into the Minmatar rear-guard than expected.
Undaunted, our fleet made the few jumps to rendezvous with the disabled ship. With a heavy Minmatar presence in system, an immediate battle seemed inevitable. Minmatar did not dissapoint, placing their fleet on the inbound gate to Resbroko in an attempt to squash relief efforts before they began. A brawl ensued, the insurgents in Munnins vs our Sac fleet. The good guys placed a proper stomping with minimal losses thanks to a hero logistics wing (this will be a recurring theme).
During this first battle the pilot of the target Redeemer, GM Chaos, was able to warp to the fleet completing the first objective in the recovery effort. His destination was determined to the 24th Imperial Crusade station in Iesa, a long dangerous journey, regardless of the route chosen through multiple choke points. The fleet began making best speed, with the first major decision to be made in Ardar at the Floseswin-Frerstorn split. While GM Chaos seemed intent on taking the shortest, most obvious route through Floseswin (even warping to the out gate) it was determined that the better route would be to avoid the constellation surrounding Turnur.
The first of many high-stress moments ensued as GM Chaos, who was apparently parade fit with four 1600 plates and firework launchers, attempted to rejoin the escort fleet. This effort ended smoothly and the fleet proceeded through Frerstorn and made its way south with Minmil, Galmil, and pirates all in pursuit.
Best speed proved to be very slow but the escort fleet remained vigilant, scattering pirates from gates as the enemy looked for an opportunity to boosh our escortee and slow us down enough for a cyno to be lit or a heavier strike fleet to catch up and engage.
The next major decision came as the fleet approached Auga. To go the most direct route? Perhaps catching Minmil off guard by slow-boating directly through their headquarters? Or to add yet more jumps and go around through Vard->Arzad. The Vard->Arzad route was quickly determined to be the better option.
Arzad, another route split. At this point a hostile cyno was shadowing, the rest of the pursuers were lost. To take the route through Sifilar to Lamaa and Kamela or risk going through incursion systems via Tannakan and taking the more northern route through Sahtogas. An executive decision was made to risk the incursion and stay further from Minmil controlled systems.
The incursion systems proved to be clear of Sanshas, and surely frustrated our cyno shadow. He continued to follow as we burned on making best speed. A couple systems out of the incursion zone the hostile cyno was lit and GM Chaos was tackled by a pair of dreads. Logi hero repped him as the fleet bumped him out of point and web range of the bad guys. A big thanks to Lumen and friendly logi pilots for stepping up throughout the fleet, keeping our losses negligable throughout the evening.
Eventually, with the hostile dreadnaughts unable to break friendly logi, GM Chaos was able to warp and the fleet evacced the field, leaving Minmil to eat our warp trails. Unfortunately just a couple jumps later GM Chaos got caught again as the fleet warped. Throughout the evening Moist alliance had been running tackle and interference, slowing tackles and keeping us one step ahead of Minmil. The previous engagement allowed a small kitchen sink fleet, including booshers, to catch up by this point and it was too much for the couple ships remaining on grid to clear.
The fleet turned around and rage-warped back to GM Chaos, who was holding strong in middle armor. As the fleet landed a boosh went off, splitting the fleet and (I believe) taking most of the logi wing. This gave Minmil the openning it needed, with caps on grid, to finally finish GM Chaos's Redeemer off. The stomping of Minmil's kitchen sink fleet continued, as a hostile Pheonix Navy Issue (which turned out to be worth over 12b) held on grid. By this point the pirates had caught up, and Big AB dropped the hammer on Minmil. Logi continued holding as the fleet began gaining distance from the fight, happy to allow Big AB to finish off Minmil.
The fleet valiantly continued on to the destination, where GM Chaos was able to participate in a debreif on comms!
Overall the objective was lost, but the allied fleet took only a couple logi and tackle losses, clearing multiple fleets along the way, providing a green killboard and much fun for all. Giant thank you to @[TF641] Elcon for effective FCing, LUMEN and co. for logi, Moist for tackle, and of course all of EDICT for showing up and diving into what we assumed would be an epic stomping from Minmil in their prime.
LUMEN AAR:
After losing our logistic commander shortly after decloaking on the gate of our first engagement, the logistic wing desperately attempted to adjust the cap transfer chain with ECM and heavy cap pressure making this an arduous task. However, the commitment of the remaining six logistic pilots from Empyrean Edict [EDICT] and Khimi Harar [LUMEN] were able to stabilize and prevent the destruction of GM Chaos. In the Ardar System, our wing had split between Floseswin and Frerstorn during the confusion of which route to take towards Iesa. However, we regrouped and entered and traversed the incursion systems of Tararan and Sosan together. In Anka, the final system before Iesa, GM Chaos was tackled as we initiated warp. Upon landing we began working to keep GM Chaos alive despite being under dreadnaught pressure. The dreadnaughts switched targets which kept our logistic pilots on their toes. In well placed booshes, by the Minmatar Fleet Alliance [FL33T], our logistic pilots had to burn back into range while the main fleet attempted to extract GM Chaos from the tackle holding him down. It was in this chaotic blur that GM Chaos met his untimely demise. Our logistic pilots remained on the field and attempted to repair the remaining fleet and regroup.

(The Lumen Affect)
Ok, this was a ton of fun with multiple engagements, running battles, and multiple dread drops....

However, the commitment of the remaining six logistic pilots from Empyrean Edict [EDICT] and Khimi Harar [LUMEN] were able to stabilize and prevent the destruction of GM Chaos in the Ardar system with two dreads on field and preasured logi we held!
From Ardar GM Chaos warped Floseswin, though the fleet was determined to take Frerstorn out. The first of many high-stress moments ensued as GM Chaos attempted to rejoin the escort fleet.
Along the way we encountered a dreadnaught drop. Killing the entire minmil fleet except the dreads and their reships. With the onslaught of never-ending minmil ships entering system we de-aggressed and jumped the gate with GM Chaos. After almost going through Auga the fleet took the long way around through Vard to Arzad then through the incursion systems of Tannakan and Sosan, losing galmil pursuers and most of the pirates in the process.
After leaving the relative safety off the incursion we were dropped on again by two dreads, who were able to tackle and point GM Chaos. Once again clearing the field of minmil, other than the dreads, the fleet began bumping GM Chaos out of web and point range as he desperately tried to warp to the out gate. This effort proved successful and the fleet continued with minmil in hot pursuit.
MOIST, flying DPS/tackle cruisers, managed to run major interference; clearing off tackle and leaving a fleet with another cyno ship behind us. We were a two jump's from our target system when a hero tackle from minmil managed to catch GM Chaos as the fleet warped 60au to the out gate.
The fleet, still determined to win, warped back to GM Chaos, who was holding strong in half armor. As the fleet landed a boosh went off, splitting the fleet and taking most of the logi wing. This gave Minmil the openning it needed, with caps on grid, to finally finish GM Chaos's Redeemer off. The stomping of Minmil's kitchen sink fleet continued forcing Minmil's hand, as a hostile Pheonix Navy Issue (which turned out to be worth over 12b) was brought on grid. By this point the pirates had caught up, and Big AB dropped the hammer forcing us to withdrawl. Logi continued holding as the fleet began gaining distance from the fight, happy to allow Big AB to finish off the sole remaining Minmil.
The fleet valiantly continued on to the destination, where GM Chaos was able to participate in a debreif on comms!
This op was only posible due to the efforts of Sazarc, Elora Talvanen, and Cyrelle Aurilen, Due to their efforts we were able to bring in an entire fleet in just a few hours with time to hand our and brief the fleet! A special thank you to Lumen and Moist. without the support of these groups all hope would have been lost for GM Chaos and his crew as we drew on all our combined leadership and flight experiance to get as far as we did!
