Medal Text:
It was over a month into the WHBOO war. Unable to match the capital superiority of the pirate kings of Solitude, SYNCO grudgingly conceded ground, bleeding WHBOO but not halting the advance. That led WHBOO to issue insulting surrender terms as they reinforced 19 SynCo structures in a 1 day, setting up the war's largest battle on August 5, YC125. SynCo and allies rallied. Adopting a kikimora doctrine that danced around the cumbersome WHBOO fleet as it ran into interdictors at every gate, SYNCO trapped and cut down 1 capital, 2, 3... The night went on, 2 stations burning bright as they died, but for each a high price was exacted. Then, the profligate use of capitals drew the attention of the larger Deepwater Hooligans. Panicked, WHBOO attempted to extract but was caught on a S-U8A4 gate, pinned between SYNCO and Deepwater. The 50 ships WHBOO lost there, as well as Deepwater's entry into the war, proved a turning point. In a month, there would be no remnant of WHBOO left in Solitude.

FULL TEXT:
From the papers of Governor Arnoux:
It was over a month into the war against Scary Wormhole People. Unable to match the capital superiority of the pirate kings of Solitude, SYNCO forces had grudgingly conceded ground, bleeding their forces but not stopping their advance. That increasing confidence led WHBOO to issue insulting terms of surrender as they reinforced 19 SynCo structures in a single day, setting the stage for the largest battle of the war.
Over 50 SynCo pilots rallied to the fight, along with more than 35 other allies (notably BUMS and PNS). Adopting a kikimora doctrine that danced around the cumbersome WHBOO fleet as it ran into interdictors at every gate, SYNCO forces isolated and cut down one dreadnought… two… three. The night dragged on, two stations burning bright as they died, but for each a terrible price was exacted. And then, the profligate use of capitals finally drew the attention of a larger, meaner pirate force: Deepwater Hooligans. Panicked by their approach, the WHBOO fleet attempted to extract but was caught in a decisive battle on a S-U8A4 gate, pinned between SYNCO and Deepwater. The fifty ships that were slaughtered there, as well as the entry of Deepwater into the conflict, proved the turning point in the war. A month later, there would be no remnant of WHBOO left in Solitude.
