Medal Text:
A "Silk Road" system and essential to ensure the new trade route from Jita to Amarr, circuitous as it may be, and the Empire itself was not cut off after the fall of Niarja. This medal is awarded to pilots who participated in this siege. EDENCOM prevailed, and Avesber became a Fortress.

Lunarisse Comments;
After the fall of Niarja, LUMEN had three key objectives: (1) avoid or minimize the loss of any other Empire systems, (2) preserve the remaining high sec trade route connections to the empire and (3) ensure that our EDENCOM allies would come to our aid by making sure to aid them with key systems. Avesber, a Republic system where the trade route crossed the Republic/Mandate border, directly met objectives 2 and 3 and was intended to promote/advance objective 1
