Gamdis III - Constellation - Kador Region

Exercise Increased Caution

An advisory of “Exercise Increased Caution” is issued for travelers to Gamdis III, a sparsely populated desert world in the Kakol Constellation.

While Gamdis III has been a popular, if less-well known destination for intrepid travelers seeking to engage in prospecting for mineral collection, surveying archeological digs, or the sport of ‘sand sailing’ across its extensive dunes, reports are extant of increased violence between outside visitors and local residents of Gamdis III.

Indeed, prompting this advisory, on this date at the Catina in town of Yelsie Som, location of the planet’s primary space port, this travel writer witnessed a violent bar-room brawl between construction personnel and tourists arising from a construction worker’s crude and persistent passes at a blonde, female, true amarr tourist. Subsequently, there was a shooting of a bounty hunter by a smuggler. Local con artists seek to pass off laughably fake artifacts as souveniers to naive tourists, including replicas of the Ametat and Avetat in a nod to local legends.

Local security forces lack the resources to respond effectively and in a timely manner to serious incidents of deception, criminality and violence. Emergency services are limited, or non-existent in most of the planet’s desert wilderness, and response times may vary severely from Domain Region standards.

If you decide to travel to Gamdis III:

* Avoid walking, sand sailing, or other travel at night.

* Avoid secluded places or situations.

* Do not physically resist any robbery attempt or respond to insults.

* Be aware of your surroundings and keep a low profile.

* Draft a will and designate insurance beneficiaries and/or power of attorney.

* Discuss a plan with loved ones regarding care/custody of children, pets, and tangible and   
   intangible property, funeral arrangements, and so on.

* Share important documents, login information, and points of contact with loved ones so that
   they can manage your affairs if you are incapacitated or suffer a termination of existence.

* Establish your own personal security plan or consider consulting with a professional security
   organization.

* Be sure to appoint a representative to serve as the point of contact with hostage-takers and   
   governmental authorities if you are taken hostage or detained.

* Establish a proof of life protocol with your representative, so that if you are taken hostage, your
   representative can know specific questions (and answers) to ask the hostage-takers to be sure     that you are alive (and to rule out a hoax)

* Leave DNA samples with your medical provider in case it is necessary for your remains to be
   identified.
